" I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to you and all of your staff members for helping my infant son to avoid surgery and an unnecessary six-month course of antibiotics.
At the age of 4 months old, my son was experiencing multiple ear infections which were not responding well to the antibiotics prescribed by his pediatrician. I was given two choices by his pediatrician, I could put my son through a traumatic surgery or I could give my son a six month course of antibiotics. I am a Registered Nurse and despite the possible benefits of each treatment offered, I was reluctant to choose either option knowing the potential adverse effects my son may have to suffer with from each treatment. This led me to search for the possibility of an alternative treatment for my son’s recurrent ear infections with fewer possible adverse effects.
A co-worker shared with me that chiropractic care had cured her son’s ear infections sixteen years ago. Her son received adjustments weekly for a few months as an infant and he has been free from ear infections since the completion of the care. Immediately, I began to call around to seek out a chiropractor that was familiar with this type of care. I was starting to lose hope when multiple chiropractic offices in the area were not familiar with the care of infants for ear infections.
I was elated when I called your office and was received by a friendly and very knowledgeable staff person who seemed genuinely happy to help me and my son. She explained that the office was definitely “kid friendly” and that you have had great success preventing recurrent ear infections in infants. She even informed me that there was no charge for children younger than two years of age! I made an appointment for my son and was very pleased that he was able to be seen by you within a few days. During our initial visit, you were so informative and pleasant. I did not feel rushed in any way despite your busy schedule. You answered all of my questions and even took my hand and showed me on my son where the adjustment was needed. You were able to explain to me that he was suffering from the recurrent ear infections due to a mal-adjustment in his spine causing fluid to pool in his ear. You explained that by adjusting his spine into proper alignment it would allow the fluid to drain properly thus preventing ear infections. You were also able to identify that his ear infections were always in his left ear even though I never mentioned in which ear his infections occurred. My son’s pediatrician was unable to provide this explanation or solution for my son’s problem. Prior to the adjustment, you again took my hand to demonstrate the approximate care you planned to perform on my son. My son did not show any signs of pain, discomfort, or distress during or after the adjustment.
We have had appointment every1-3 weeks since the initial appointment and my son has not had an ear infection since the initiation of the adjustments. He is now 15 months old. I am so pleased and thankful that you have saved my son the trauma of surgery and the adverse side effects of long term antibiotic use. I have shared my son’s success story with my professional colleagues, family, friends, as well as my son’s pediatrician. My son is a rough and tough little boy who takes a lot of tumbles. He will definitely be a patient of yours for life. I believe even after his risk of ear infections subside I will still continue to seek your expertise and care to keep him in the best overall health and well being. I am also thankful that I have never had to pay for any of the adjustments. I am unsure how you are able to perform such miracles at no cost but as a single mother with a tight budget, I am very appreciative.
My son and I also greatly appreciate every one of your office staff members. During every visit we are greeted in a welcoming and friendly manner and despite how busy everyone is, they always greet us with a smile and by our names. It is refreshing that in this day and age when everything is so busy, impersonal, and rushed, your office is filled with such wholesome goodness and warmth.
Many Thanks!"
April Alexander
