Dear Doctor DeFrancesco,
I suffered from lower back pain most of my adult life, mostly due to not taking care of it in my youth! I had visited one orthopedic specialist years ago with no results other than being told that I could have an operation that "might" help or live with it! Well I lived with it about 30 years and one day at the Glastonbury Apple Festival decided I would give chiropractic a try.
As you know, I was a skeptic at first and even used the term "quack" regarding miracle claims from others. For the latter, I apologize for putting you in the same category. After a couple years of treatment, I'm not like I was at age 20, but then again at 50+ I'm not age 20! I do feel much better and the pain that I once had is greatly diminished. I had thought of writing you earlier to say thank you, but there is always some excuse. However several weeks ago I was at lunch and literally couldn't stand up straight due to a "catch" in my back. Well, I came directly to your office without an appointment. You immediately relieved the pain and I walked out erect as if nothing had happened! Sounds like some tribble you'd see on a daytime TV show, but it is true!
Now I also hate to admit it but for some 25 years I had chronic high pressure and took one or two pills a day. About a year ago I ran out of medication and visited with my GP to get a refill. Only I didn't need it. My blood pressure was the lowest it had been in years and was better than "normal" for my age. I'm not sure where to attribute the improvement because so much was going on in my life, but with your help I do continue to feel better overall and pass the old company physicals with flying colors. More importantly than anything, thanks for being a friend.

Dear Dr. DeFrancesco,
It started with a mildly sore arm on Christmas Day. Within two days I could not lie down, drive a car or even ride in one because the pain was so great. the pain started in my left shoulder and moved down my left arm. My arm was sore to the touch and my left index finger was numb. I could not sit at my computer for even a few seconds. I was miserable! I was a prisoner of my Lazy Boy.
I opened the phone book to "Chiropractor" and thank God the only ad I saw was for Dr. DeFrancesco. You quickly diagnosed the problem as a pinched nerve in my neck. Dear Chiropractic Patients,
I came to the chiropractic center because I was in pain and I was unable to sleep at night. I had been to my family doctor and to an orthopedic doctor. After numerous tests and examinations, I was told I had a sore muscle and it would heal.
Months later, I was still experiencing pain. Years of bending over my second graders had taken it's toll. The fall from the hayride and lifting my dad when he was bedridden didn't help either.
Following my very first treatment, I was able to sleep through the night. What a tremendous relief - both physically and emotionally for me. The best part of the treatment lies in not having to take drugs or requiring surgery. Also, I was very much part of the healing process as I needed to become a guardian of my spine. I attended the orientation meeting, raised the reading table in my class, bought a lumbar pillow, a contoured sleeping pillow and replaced a 10 year(+) plus matress. I also do exercises to strengthen my back. It is a rewarding feeling to be able to take charge of my health and feel in control.
Another benefit of attending the chiropractic center, is the tender care I receive while I am here - from my examination and subloxation treatment to the physical theraphy I receive. The prevalent attitude here at the center is one of gentle care - given with an emphasis on the patient's responsibility and ownership of the return to good health and a continuation of the maintenance of that health.
Tell someone you love, to have their spine checked, encourage them to have a chiropractic exam before they experience pain. "Get on their back," they'll love you for it!

I wanted to convey to future patients of yours that I was totally amazed at the results of your chiropractic adjustments for my crippling case of sciatica. I always thought that chiropractors were "quacks" and that bad backs need surgery that doesn't work.
I am astonished at the activities that I am able to do again after avoiding them for years for fear of backaches. I'm back to mountain hiking, riding horses, planting flowers and all sorts of daily chores.

I want to thank you for the dramatic improvement I have experienced since coming under your care. What had been a chronic back ache turned out to be a condition which lessened immediately from your adjustments. It wasn't until I had difficulty in seeing peripherally to change lanes while driving that I realized my lateral head movement was severely restricted. In my ignorance I presumed it was due to arthritis in my neck.
Today I have no back ache, I have regained full lateral movement of my head, I have not had a head ache from neck tension in months, and my general sense of well-being has been restored.
I attribute all these improvements to your gentle, hands-on application of your training. I believe the positive, caring environment that you, and all your staff provide, enhanced the effect of the treatments.
