Carol Miller – December 2014

carol-miller-december-2014When I was 19 years old, I suffered from a low back pain. My mother brought me to Dr. Bowers, the local chiropractor. He relieved my pain after a few visits. I continued to see him for maintenance care, until my work transferred me to Indianapolis, Indiana. Lincoln Chiropractic College was located there, and had a clinic open to the public which I used. While living there, I met Robert Miller, who was a student at Lincoln. After an 8 month courtship, we were married. Once Bob graduated, we moved to CT, his home state. Bob bought Dr. Martin’s practice in Middletown, in the early 1960’s. We had four children in our first 5 years of marriage.

Chiropractic care has always been our primary care for our family. Bob would adjust the children when they began with a cold or fever, which would end it before spreading through the family. Truly, chiropractic adjustments were a part of our everyday life. Even Bob had his own chiropractor! Thankfully, we have been a healthy family, who all enjoy active lives.

Bob passed away 11 years ago, at which time, I was introduced to Dr. DeFrancesco by my daughter, Deb, who is Dr. Pat’s patient. Without “skipping a beat”, I became his patient. Twice a month, I see Dr. Pat to maintain my health. Dr. Pat’s dedication to my care gives me such a peace of mind. When I last saw him, he told me I was “as loose and flexible as some thirty year olds!” I look forward to celebrating my 81st birthday next year, thanks to living a healthy live which always included chiropractic care.
