Hatha Yoga is a “system of physical postures” that can accommodate any body type or fitness level. There are so many styles from power to gentle, beginner to advanced, slow to fast that there will be one right for you. Yoga is for everyone!

The initial benefits of yoga are stress relief and a feeling of calmness which you will feel after your first class. In that first class, you will do postures and breathing that will assist your body to let go of muscle tension and remind you not to fight the stretch.

Will you be able to touch your toes after the first class? Probably not, but you will feel better and more relaxed. Long term flexibility and strength will come when you practice consistently. Other benefits of a regular practice are lower blood pressure, weight loss, relief from lower back pain, better sleep and more energy.
