As a young man, I was involved in 3 car accidents – twice I was rear-ended and the third, I was broadsided by a speeding car through a red light. In all 3, I was lucky enough to walk away uninjured; or so I thought. Years later, I started to suffer from low back pain that culminated in a pinched sciatic nerve on my left side which caused so much pain, I found myself in the emergency room screaming for pain relief.
